Description
5 Persons were killed by the Air attacks on Tharmapuram, a village in the AGA division of Kandavalai, Kilinochi. Three houses have been completely destroyed, seven dwellings partially damaged and valuable property including trees destroyed.
Thanayogam and her husband came from Jaffna to Wanni in August 2006 to visit some relatives. After the Checkpoint at Muhamalai was closed, they were living in Tharmapuram in a rented house and did some part time painting jobs, as they are professional painters.
Thanayogam was seriously injured and amputated one arm and one leg. After she was operated several times at Kilinochi hospital, she died on 03.12.2007.
